Camelot Studios is a media group based in the UK, producing independent films, television series, and creative content for a wide range of audiences. Known for their bold storytelling and visually rich productions, the company is now looking to develop a new visual identity that reflects their creative vision and unique name.
From the outset, the client was clear that the new identity must feature a sword—referencing the legendary Camelot knights. While this constraint could seem limiting, it actually provided helpful focus during the design process, preventing unnecessary detours and grounding the creative direction.
The challenge was how to incorporate the sword in a way that felt cohesive and distinctive. The solution came through a knight’s helmet, which provided a natural and structured way to embed the sword into the design. While a helmet might not directly signal ‘film production’, the client was keen on a symbol that felt unique and memorable. One design hurdle was that the sword often resembled a crucifix, so we explored several variations to refine its shape within the limited visual space.
The final logo strikes a strong visual balance, combining the helmet and sword in a symmetrical form. It’s clean, scalable, and versatile—suitable for a range of applications from fabric embroidery to print collateral. The result is a bold, characterful mark that stands out in the crowded film and media industry.
